Layers of Laminate Flooring

d. Backing Layer: Is the last layer and is underneath core layer .It is saturated with paper resin and forms a barrier so that the floor is not damaged by moisture.
The layers of laminate floor are merged together either by Direct pressure laminate or High pressure laminate methods.
- Direct Pressure Laminate (DPL) - This method is used for residential use.
- High Pressure Laminate (HPL) - This method is used for tougher use. These two methods are different in terms of their cost, design and performance. However DPL is less expensive as compared to HPL.
